FLUID JOINERY

Fluid Joinery is a low side table made of blown transparent glass in smoked, amber, or blue tones, with a semi-transparent polypropylene base.
At the heart of the design of Fluid Joinery – Side Table I lies its transparency, where plays of reflections and color emerge through its organic and irregular shape. This monolithic table is crafted from a single volume of glass, mouth-blown into a cast-iron mold and hand-shaped—a highly complex artisanal process carried out in Veneto.

Shaping the volumes of Fluid Joinery – Side Table I, characterized by varying thicknesses and irregular shifts, posed a significant production challenge for Cassina. Particularly complex techniques were implemented, especially to create a base capable of supporting the substantial upper volume and the engravings on the surface of the top.

Glass is a material that Linde enjoys experimenting with, through captivating processes that transform it from liquid to solid. She is especially fascinated by its ambiguity, born from the fact that it becomes even more architectural when hot, as its fluidity allows the creation of sculptural pieces.

Fluid Joinery – Side Table I is available in a single size, designed to favor the combination of multiple pieces, and in three color variations—smoked, amber, and blue—created by layering different sheets of transparent and colored glass. Due to its entirely artisanal process, slight irregularities may occur, making this object even more unique and valuable.
